The Last Time We Heard A Dbanj Hit Song
Is D’banj done? When was the last time we heard a Dbanj hit song? I think I speak for myself and most Naija music lovers, who have this same question as soon as they listen to another not-so-banger record from BANGALEE.
Solemn question, when was the last time you lost your home-training to a Dbanj song? Emergency was probably the closest the SLOT ambassador got close to reclaiming his crown.
That was probably the last time you saw a Don walk with a stick, the best time you heard the harmonica on a song and the last time you heard the Koko sound so magical on a song.
Sigh! I’d like to be the first to come out the closet and say I miss the Koko (lol, no pun intended).
When was the last time you lost your home-training to a D’banj song?
I miss the good old Dbanj, the one that had ladies screaming in ecstasy at every event with his bare chest. The sexual artiste with no sex scandal (if you take out the Genevieve and Ini Edo alleged romance).
Dbanj was the ultimate entertainer! Sellable on every level with major endorsement deals to show for it.
Well, like everybody else, we all like to blame the drought on Mo’hits’ split; which was the last time I heard a Dbanj hit record, with no shade on Emergency as mentioned earlier.
I rocked tirelessly to the hit song(Emergency) since Oliver twist, that was the last time I heard a Dbanj hit song for the first time.
LATEST SONGS FROM D’BANJ FAR FROM BEING HIT SONGS
It’s been more misses than a singles convention since his Solo flight. We recently heard a few Dbanj miss songs; Shake it featuring TIWA SAVAGE, which could have easily been one peppered EJA NLA stew but yet another OMI OBE (miss).
Mama Jamal is currently on fire and could possibly bring anybody back from the dead(or not); I’m not saying she brought Duncan Mighty back but look at what Lova Lova did. Nothing came out of Something for Something for sure, even after featuring one of Africa’s biggest rapper: Cassper Nyovest.
It looks again like he is putting good features to waste. We are hoping the coming collaboration with the DMW hitmaker; Mayourkun doesn’t fall by the side again. See Dbanj’s tweet about the collaboration below:

If this feature doesn’t work out, I’ll suggest the self-acclaimed king put down his crown and stop forcing the music. Maybe he needs Don Jazzy? Or, are they both done?
When was the last time they both put out hit records, individually oh?! I’m not talking about party fillers and half-ass tracks; I’m talking real party shakers.
It’s safe to say they both took a part of each other with them when they departed.
So I ask you this, should Dbanj quit music jeje and focus on being a husband cum businessman; his Cream platform should still keep him relevant in the Music Industry or better still reunite with Don Jazzy and give it another miss?
